IE/calculator?

This is a strange one... Yesterday, I clicked on a link in IE and the Windows
Calculator popped up. Now whenever I open Internet Explorer (or Windows
Explorer functions) the calculator opens too. I ran System Restore but it
didn't make any difference. It's not a problem as such - I just close
calculator and everything works fine- but this clearly shouldn't be
happening.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Andrew.

Basically the shortcut to Calculator has been corrupted.
This worked for me.
Have your XP disc ready
Add/Remove programs>Add Remove Windows Components.
Highlight Accessories and Utilities
Click details
Highlight Accessories
Click details
Uncheck "Calculator"
Click OK
This will remove the shortcut from XP totally.
Add/Remove programs>Add/Remove Windows Components
Highlight Accessories and Utilities
Click details
Highlight accessories
Click details
this time "Check" the Calculator box
Click OK
You will then be asked to load your XP disc as the re-installer can not find
the required files on your hard drive.Point it towards the drive with the
disc loaded,or even to the exact folder if you wish. And bob's your uncle.
Like i say this worked for me.Basically you are un-installing the shortcut
and re-installing it back uncorrupted
