IE and different users

We have xp running with 5 users. After a long period (honeymoon?) where
everything worked fine for everyone, now only two of us can access IE. The
window will open and a DNS error page will appear. However all five of us
can access e-mail and use Netscape so I think the ADSL connection is not the
culprit. I have tried reinstalling xp, and IE 6 with no luck. Any advice is
WELCOMED!

I'm no expert here.....BUT...

once an offending account is logged on with no IE access to the internet,
open a command window (start-->run--> command) and type

ipconfig /all

and see what it says...... if there is no ip address, or it looks dorked up

try

ipconfig /release

then

ipconfig /renew

and see if there is an ip conflict in that account., or see if that solves
the problem.

Could the users of the offending accounts have screwed up some IE settings
???

I dunno..... hope this helps.
