I have lost track of the location of the dialog box for controlling the
appearance of the "active" or "busy" icon in the top right corner of IE that
indicates online activity. I know you can toggle between a Windows symbol
and revolving world symbol. Can someone repoint me in the right direction to
access this control?
Thanks,
James Harris

In what operating system?
I am unaware of any standard method of altering the animated logo or
toggling between symbols, though there are many 3rd party applications
to do so and you can make your own or find many such logos on the
'net.

I am running Windows XP Home Edition and discovered the settings dialog when
I first got the system and was exploring the new (to me) OS a few weeks ago,
but now cannot get back to that settings dialog. As far as I remember, I was
in a native Win XP settings dialog box. It's an umimportant issue, but one
of those things that if you don't take notes when you are doing it, it turns
into a frustration later when you've lost the path to what you saw before.

Sorry James,

I don't have XP but hopefully someone will come to the rescue.
It is not so easy in Win9x, but it is certainly possible.
