IE 7 **** up!

Clear DayI was prompted by Windows Update to download IE 7 even though I
have the beta version. Once IE 7 was installed my PC was all ****** up with
error messages up the ***. I retried, same results. Ran full disc checkups,
etc., no relief. Finally had to restore to yesterday's settings. One non
generic error message was HTTP://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linked=63939.
Might as well have been in Greek. As you may have guessed, I'm clueless.

Try this. After much research, the following worked for me.

1. Uninstall MSXML4.0 SP2 Security update 925672 using Add/Remove programs

2. Uninstall IE7 Beta 3 using Add/Remove programs. This will get you back to
IE6.

3. Download IE7 from www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx and install
it.

4. Run IE7

5. Reinstall MSXML4.0 SP2 through Microsoft Update.

The issue seems to be something to do with the DirectX components of
MSXML4.0

Post back re how it works

Regards

Mike

Thanks......................saved your reply & will try attending to it when
I get the time. Right now I'm kinda burned out on PC stuff.

My PC now working OK but I suspect that there are issues with IE 7.
