IE 7 Problems with freezing and now getting pipe error

Hello,
I have to use IE in order to work at home, which requires I use Java to
chat. After installing IE7, while I am online with customers,
PROBLEM 1 - Screen freezes, and I lose sales. I have to hard shut down my
computer in order to reboot. I cannot use the Task manager to shut down
either.
Now with PROBLEM 2 - (which now happens while online anywhere) This is the
error: pipe error: +desc (string) 'Access denied' + payload (object) [object
Object] l + hostcode (string) 'sf-10' l* +type (string) 'ERR_NOACCESS' *
id=null,reason=server-soft-error
I cannot locate anything in microsoft.com
Thanks in advance for any help on these two issues.

Hi George,

So what chat software do you need to use that requires Java? If its provided
by your 'work' consult your system administrators to trouble shoot the
problem and or verify that their software is compatible with IE7 (IE7 ready)
The error message tells me that it is running on a linux or unix server, so
more than likely they are not IE7 friendly yet.

The easiest solution is to revert back to IE6 (Start>Settings>Control
Panel>Add/Remove Programs) by uninstalling IE7.

Regards.

Hi "Rob ^_^",

No software required. We log onto LiveOps.com, and we are required to use
cable (Road Runner) in order to have incoming calls to our phone line. IE 6
or 7 is the only compatible one we can use - as those who use FireFox cannot
use the java to chat. Since we are "independent contractors" we are
responsible to keep our systems up to date with spyware, adware, etc...They
recommend LavaSoft, which I was already using anyway. I am not too smart
about these things, so please excuse my ignorance. Thanks so much.
