IE 7 Glitch

I just upgraded to IE 7 from the latest IE 6. Now when I open a window from
the taskbar or from my saved links, I not only get the appropriate site in
an IE7 window but I also get a blank IE 6 window. So that if I open three
sites, I've got to close three IE6 windows that opened, as well.

All I can think of is that awhile back I wanted pages accessed via the
taskbar to open in separate windows instead of it appropriating an already
opened page. I was advised to add code (I forgot to where). And it worked
fine. Is it possible that now when I use the taskbar, that aforementioned
code is opening a separate window which IE7 doesn't require.

Or the problem is elsewhere.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Fred

It is quite possible and I don't know the answer or I'd happily tell you
here but, well...

Exactly that is why IE is such a dog. I think you can uninstall it and
then reinstall IE 6 from your install CD for XP.
