IE6 /w windows 2000

is there a way to adjust the display resolution of explore windows so
displays can fit on the page with out changing the screen resolution in
settings. The size of his everthing else it ok on the computer it is just IE
that items are to large to be easily view with scrolling side to side and up
and down.

I know with IE7 has a zoom funtion that works but the person I'm helping is
on and older system and dosen't want to upgrade.

The user's ability to make adjustments is frequently dependent on the
choices made by the web site developer. In some cases changing the DPI
can shrink images while the viewer can readjust the text back up to a
legible size by rolling the mouse wheel while holding the CTRL key.

This the same person I am just logged on differently at home.

I think I confused you by mentioning IE7 the version that the person has I'm
helping has IE6. I have tried the CTRL key with the +/- button however,
since IE6 doesn't have the zoom feature it didn't work. Since it is not my
system I can't sit there for an hour our two until I find the right
combination of settings.

I think I figured out what I'm going to try tomorrow. I don't not sure how
it will effect his outlook though. I'll bump up his dpi to 120 and his
resolution then everything should still seem the same but IE windows should
fit better.
