IE 6 not showing logo

This is a copy of the information I replied to my earlier sent question on
the anove subject. It was when I couldn't get any response that I decided to
send as a new question.

However I tried it but it didn't work. The settings on the 'open' page was
that of Opera. when I changed it, I didn't see any changes.
And note that the logo I meant is a file logo i.e when I save a webpage
either on my system or a saved webpage from another source, the 'e' logo will
not show although the files open normally

You can always try system Restore to before the installation of Opera and
the Fox?.

Also you can try this:
File association fix:

Download and execute then Reboot your machine and see if that fixed.
Run the sfc /scannow command from the Run.
