When accessing the URL:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/community/newsgroups/dgbrowser/
en-us/default.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.win2000.general

....I get an error screen:
Internet Explorer
! Problem with this web page might prevent it from being displayed properly
or functioning properly.
Line 29
Char: 2
Error: 'mnpMenuTop' is null or not an object
Code: 0
URL:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/community/newsgroups/dgbrowser/
en-us/default.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.win2000.general

I'm using:
Windows 2000 Professional, Service Pack 4
Internet Explorer 6.0.2800:1106, Service Pack 1; Q867801; Q823353 [from the
browser Help>About]

What can I do to cure this error?
Thank you for the advice.

So do I with WinXP SP2. I get it again when I go to the next page, but
other than that everything seems to be working.

Frank, this only started 2-3 weeks ago on my system - I'd never gotten the
message before. Is there a Microsoft user group or KnowledgeBase that covers
this kind of problem? I looked for such groups and topic but didn't find any.

1. You might want to refresh your scripting engine:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/nhp/default.asp?contentid=28001169
or

Sometimes there's a corrupt file in the cache and one must go to Tools |
Internet Options and click Delete Files.

2a. Start>Run>Regsvr32 vbscript.dll

2b. Start>Run>Regsvr32 jscript.dll

(WinXP users who have problems with 2a and 2b, see
http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/answers_9.htm)

3. Re-register all DLLs listed in http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=281679

5a. IE Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Browsing>Enable third-party browser
extensions (uncheck & reboot).

5b. Find the hijacker that caused 5a to be checked (or if none were checked,
check for hijackware anyway):
