IE6 suddenly started locking up when I attempt to go to a
linked site from a webpage. The window frequently locks
up in making the attempt to open the new site's url.
The "hourglass" appears and can be moved around the
screen but IE is otherwise frozen. This seems to happen
when IE is attempting to
run "javascript:MM_openBrWindow... " as that is the first
part of the line that appears in the bar at the bottom of
the window, at least when I have remembered to check.
Windows Task Manager must be used to "End Task." I get
the message that "Program is Not Responding." (Duhh!)
When I check detail the following is the result.
:Error signature
szAppName : IEXPLORE.EXE szAppVer : 6.0.2800.1106
szModName : hungapp
szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset : 00000000
How can this be resolved?
thanks
