I am not sure why IE6 freezes after trying to open certain webpages such as:
www.tuneinn.com
and
http://tv.reuters.com
and many more
here is what i get when I force IE6 to close with End Task
szAppName : iexplore.exe szAppVer : 6.0.2900.2180 szModName : hungapp
szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset : 00000000

It is sometimes caused by a Javascript problem. Try the following and see
if it helps:

Windows XP From A-Z

To download Java VM for XP:

Download the Microsoft Java VM for Windows XP here

also.............

On your desktop right click the Internet Explorer Icon
then:

1 Click on the advanced tab at the top
2 Scroll down to Java
3 If you have Java Sun listed---Check that box
4 Under Microsoft VM check off the 3 boxes

Hello Jan
Thanks to your advise I managed to pinpoint the problem.
When i disable Jscript language in Manager My Add-ons, i don't have this
problem anymore, but then again i get website who require this Add-on don't
work anymore, such as the community page of IE
So basically its Jscript problem with this file "scrauth.dll"
not sure how to fix this but if this information was helpful to you can you
advise me further?

As you did not mention the exact wording of any error messages, I am not
sure what you are up against, however, you might try the following and see
if this helps. If not, then please post back with the exact wording of any
error messages and/or details of what exactly is happening.

Allow active content to run in files on My Computer - Windows XP Service
Pack 2:

Script Debugging Problem

Open IE
Tools | Advanced
Under Browings:
Disable Script Debugging - Check it
Display a notification about every script error - Uncheck it
Apply
OK

Hope this helps

This is the only message details i can show u:It just hangs on those jscript webpages and I still can't figure out a way
to fix it. I really don't want to reinstall anything right now it will be
such a mess.
But what can you make from this
it seems to be a java script problem, it started happening after I installed
SP2, i have been trying to disable many things to see if it would go away but
it's still there, if i disable jscript.dll then Java scripts dont even work
anymore.

I understand. This seems to be one of the hardest problems to find a cure
workaround for of all the SP2 related problems. Here's some further
information on this issue. See if something here will help:

What is Javascript?

JavaScript is a compact, object-based scripting language created by Netscape
for developing client and server Internet applications. It is *not* the same
as Java, it can not stand alone. It is used in HTML pages. However, since
the language is so new, many of the browsers still are refining their
ability to interpret the language. More information here:
