IE 6 & Incorrect addresses Linkage

Larry H.

I have Win '98 SE and IE 6 installed. My first trouble
begin with entering an address into the address bar OR
clicking on a provided link and ALWAYS getting sent
to "myfgamily.com". Other folks running the same systems
are NOT experiencing the same problem. I had
a "professional" look at my system and after checking for
viruses, finding none, said that my explorer.exe was
corrupt and I needed to completely reload Windows and
start over.

Before doing that, I decided to uninstall explorer and re-
install. After doing this, now explorer tells me that it
cannot find the server...

If any of this makes any sense, please give me some hints
as to how to proceed. Every thing else on the computer
works just fine. I really hate the thought of reloading
windows and starting over.

Thanks,
Larry H..

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
