IE 6 History/System restore

Some how I have lost my history list which is displayed when clicking on the
history icon on the explorer bar. When the side pane opens there used to be
little calendars with days of the week and now the only view I can get is
the
one that shows "most recently visited"

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Also for some reason system restore is not giving me a calendar either.

The only changes that have been made was an installation of an
internal 4 port USB hub and that is working fine. I have deleted
the temporary Internet cookies and files with hopes of that being the
problem but it did not fix it.

Would appreciate any advice,

Check if you have change the number of days to keep history. Go to Tools >
Options > General tab. Change the number of days to keep history to 7 or to
something not 0.

If no joy, the installation of the USB drive may have corrupted your IE.
Perform a repair or reinstall.
