IE 6 hassle

Can anyone help?????

I'm running IE6.0.2800.1106 xpsp2. I used to have a
taskbar at the bottom of IE screens (directly above the
start bar) which showed amongst other things, security
settings (padlock icon), page loading status blah blah
blah.

Well here is my problem - I don't have this bar anymore
and I am suffering from a serious case of bar withdrawal!!

Can ANYONE please help me regain my bar???

All jokes aside I am pedantic as hell and this is bugging
the frag out of me.

I have a feeling it is due to an automatic update I have
installed at some time.

PLease help
