IE 6 doesn't display images

Hi,
I have a few knowledge base articles that haven't helped
with an issue and thought I would throw it out here.

I have a few Win XP machines with IE 6 servpk 1 and most
of the Windows updates that are having issues with at
least one internal site. You bring up the Intranet page
and the JPGs or Gifs will not load....no errors, just
stays at the loading stage. I saved the site page out to
another network drive through File, Save as (Web page,
complete) and the affected computers read the off-line
page with images just file. The odd thing is, if you go
refresh the machines after a minute, the images on the
original page show up ok. If you clear the IE cache and
go back to the page, it seems to be a 50/50 chance on
whether the Images load ok. I have a similar XP machine
with an identical IE service pack and I have not had any
Image display issues. Being that it is one Intranet page
that is the issue, and that saving it out to another
drive with File, Save as....I am leaning toward the
certain server the original page is installed on (a win
2k server box)...just not sure what would cause this
issue.
The Jpgs and Gifs were created on an XP box with
Photoshop 7. Any ideas. I am testing other machines now
to get a count of how many can't display the intranet
page images.
Thanks for any ideas.

I had the same problem after downloading Service pak 1 on September 11. All
suggestions here have failed to solve. only by going to Netscape 7.0 have I
been able to load jpgs.
