My IE 6 browser now launchs automatically when I boot my system and trys to connect to the IE search engine even before I dial up to my ISP. I may have set the sycronization feature but not sure if this is the problem

Any help in getting my browser to not auto launch would be appreciated. Thank you

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:

Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder
may be found on this page:

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.

Frank: I do already have Ad-aware and Spysweeper software installed and
they have both returned negative results as far as hijacker bots.

Any other ideas that you may have would be appreciated . Thank you for
your responses.

Did you update Ad-Aware and Spybot S & D with their update functions before
scanning with them?
Did you run CWShredder?
