My computer started crashing. I thought it was random and did a complete
format and reinstall... that fixed it some, but now it crashes *in
Internet-related stuff only* (ie. with Internet Explorer or a program called
"Libronix", which is Internet Explorer-based). I use Internet Explorer 6, up
to date. I've now loaded 7 beta and it works pretty well, but the same
system crashes occur.

Is there a program I can use to figure exactly what happens the next time it
crashes... ideas anyone on what the problem might be?

Thanks in advance!

Windows version?

After formatting & reinstalling Windows, did you take care of *everything*
on the following page before otherwise using the internet (i.e., to browse
or check email)?

Do you presently have an anti-virus application installed, running with
up-to-date defintions?

Hi Robert!

Thankf for that link, which I'll go review. Apologies for not providing a
complete picture, either. Having been on computers since 1983 (my first was
the Sinclair ZX-81 (1000 in North America) I should know better... ;-)

Dell Pentium 4 @ 3 GHz, 1.5 gigs RAM, 80 gig HD (with a second, 200 gig
external data drive)
Windows XP Home SP2
Wireless (secured) network
Zone Alarm, home edition, up to date
Computer Associates EZ Antivirus, up to date
I use Spybot (along with its "Tea Timer" ad on), Ad Aware and Windows
Defender

In opther words, I'm usually quite comfortable getting stuff fixed on my
machine, but this has me stumped.

On an interesting side note, there may be something to the "wireless
network" stuff in the link, since Firefox does not work AT ALL, and had to
be uninstalled completely, ie. crash upon crash upon crash... My husband
uses it on his computer (the host one) and he has no problems whatsoever. So
I'll read that carefully.

I've been enjoying IE 7 though, looks like MS finally got smart about the
competition provided by Firefox. Now if I can just get this resolved...it'll
ALL be good!

Thanks again!

Carmen
