IE 6.0 Version Problem

When I link to a webpage in Microsoftland, e.g.: this
page--

http://office.microsoft.com/en-
us/assistance/HP052433201033.aspx

This message appears at the top in red--

"Warning: You are viewing this page with an unsupported
Web browser. This Web site works best with Microsoft
Internet Explorer 5.01 or later or Netscape Navigator 6.0
or later."

Also, when I link from Messenger to Hotmail, I get a
similar message.

Naturally, my browser is
IE 6.0

Any hints to fix this would be appreciated.

when did this start? check for malware/trojans. or you
can try restore.
