IE 6.0 - site graphics (jpg) not showing

A weird happening. I go to site A that has jpg pictures
and they load fine. I go to recently updated site
(managed by a friend), and the jpg pictures come up as X.
I sign sign onto another computer next to mine, and the
pictures show fine.

Any suggestions - or approach to trouble-shooting this
problem?
