IE 6.0, Search hijacked by "linkz.com"

Whenever I try search button, Linkz.com appears instead
of MSN, YAHOO, OVERTURE ETC. I tried several times
to "customize" it but despite reset or otherwise I can't
get rid of this "Linkz.com" serch on left panel of
Internet Explorer 6.0

Also when I try "On line help with help, it shows home
page of 3Come instead of Microsoft!

Before I uninstall and reinstall the IE 6.0 any
suggestion?

Run Adaware 6 and/or Spybot then run this registry edit.

First, scan the system for parasites and remove them. SpyBot S&D searches
your harddisk for Spyware and Adware

(Remember to perform a Webupdate to have the latest definitions installed)

This will remove malware from the PC. Next, reset the Search Engine. Click
the Search button in the toolbar > Customize > AutoSearch Settings > Select
a provider from the list.
Open Internet Explorer > Tools > Options > Programs > "Reset Web Settings"
