Right click on the shortcut in Quick Launch and choose properties. You'll
see a line that looks like this if its set to outlook:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\OUTLOOK.EXE" /recycle

Hi Diane, thanks for your reply.
I have gone into the properties of the link, but cannot see where it
says
if
it is using Outlook or not? Not sure whether this is relevant or not,
but
the
e-mail icon has changed from the Outlook Express 6 icon to the Outlook
2007
icon.
I did import the OE6 settings. I don't know how to undo this in order
to
see
if this solves the problems.
Please advise.
Thanks again,
AK.
:
Yeah, that is what I meant - if you were clicking an email link, your
default client could be set for OE. How about verifying the
properties
of
the link that it is using Outlook. Also, did you import the OE
settings?

I am not really sure what you mean by, "How are you opening
outlook?" I
open
it by clicking the quick launch icon for e-mail - is this what you
were
referring to?
I have just tried making a new profile - but the same thing happens.
Any other ideas?
Thanks,
AK.

Hi,
I have just upgraded Outlook Express 6 to Outlook 2007.
Now every time I open Outlook 2007, the Identity Login screen
from
Outlook
Express 6 appears and I have to either enter my Outlook Express 6
password
or
click Cancel.
Why is this happening and how can I stop this?
Also, is there any way of uninstalling Outlook Express 6?
I am using Windows XP Professional SP2 and Internet Exploer 7.
Thanks very much,
AK.
