IDE and SCSI drives in the same machine

Is it possible to have IDE hard drives and SCSI (with SCSI controller) hard
drives working simultaneously on the same system?

Thanks,

Yes, but usually in this case the system will boot from the first IDE drive.
Otherwise no problems, I've run a number of systems like this in the past
but presently with the performance of IDE drives in a desktop PC, I'm happy
to run IDE only. Servers however are much better with multiple processors
and multiple users and programs with SCSI drives.
