ICW wiard helper component failed

On Win 2K Pro, When starting IE, I get popup saying "Failed
to load the Internet Connection wizard helper component"
Have to click twice OK to get past. I have installed IE5.0
from original installation, 5.5, amd then 6.0 with the same
results. I cannot use IE. I use Netscape quite
successfully, but some appliactions want IE. Can anyone tel
me how to restore the ICW that is broken? The KB articles
only covered Win 95/98.
