ICS Problem after adding additional IP

N

Nimit Mehta

I have win2k pro server with 2 NICs. one has IP given to
me by my ISP.
61.xx.xx.64
Another NIC has IP for my LAN 192.168.0.1 sbnet
255.255.255.0
I enabled internet connection sharing for the first NIC
card and
everything works fine. Problem is, i need to also connect
to another server
in aother LAN with IP 10.0.0.1. So i added 10.0.0.2 in the
advanced
settings of the NIC with IP 61.xx.xx.64. On doing this i
am able to connect
to 10.0.0.1. But nodes running under my server lost
connection to the
internet. As soon as i remove the additional IP, nodes are
again able to
connect to internet. What should i do? Some changes i can
make in nodes
to make them use the 61.xx.xx.64 route??

Seeing your routing table would probably help but a SOHO router will solve
all of your issues and eliminate the need for ICS and routing through the
server.
