ICS - Lan problem

I have a WIN XP pc using Internet connection sharing. When I enable it, it
works for 5 to 10 minutes then all local clients accessing internet through
ICS machine stop being able to access internet. ICS machine can still access
internet just not the local LAN.

I have tried 2 NIC cards both with same results.

Are there any error events in the event logs that may pertain to this? DO
the clients still have a default gateway of 192.168.0.1. Can the clients
Ping the default gateway?

No errors in event viewer.....clients all have correct ip information.....no
the clients cannot ping the default gateway.

the default gateway machine cannot ping local clients but it can ping its
local address.
