ICS Client cant use msn messenger or go to microsoft.

I've got two Xp's running SP2, one's a desktop and one's a laptop. The
desktop is the client and can surf perfectly. The laptop is very slow and
when i try to use msn messenger, it wont connect. I also cant go to
microsoft.com or hotmail.com. Have i missed a step in configuring the
connection or do i need to do something else?

Check the MTU setting on the client.
