Icons slowly appears on bootup on desktop & refresh problems

Every time i boot up i see on my desktop icons in white & appear slowly as
it boots. I ran bootvis several times & nothing I deleted all in prefetch &
temp directories & notta. I defrag & same no dice. Also when i click on a
icon i se my desktop refresh allot & tried this mod form kellys xp corner &
no dice it still does it. Also how can u delete index.dat i think its
corrupted & re creates a new temp internet files, cookies & history in
c:\winnt. I can delte it & sems to go back till i delete temp files again
using in control panel or using norton system works.

Disable nortons system works from running 24/7. And, how much hard drive
space do you have left?

using NSW 2004 & have 15gb left
