icons on desktop

i need to change the text colour for my desktop icons as they are white and
hard to read but in advanced it lets me do most everything else but change
the text colour. there are boxes for that but they are not highlited so u can
use them?????help please

If you select the Window item in the Item drop box on that advanced dialog,
you will get a Font color item.

When I use the Item drop box I can change the font but the box for changing
colour is not highlited so I can't use it ??? I can change the colour for all
other things in drop down box but Icons...

I failed to explain that font color for window text is the same as font
color for icon text. Choosing the "Window" item, you get the color change
for font and it applies also to the Icon item.
