icons moving

When I exit programs my icons have been moved around.
Does anybody know what is causing this?

If they've al moved to one side of the screen, right-click a blank area of
Desktop, click on "Arrange icons by...", which gets a second menu. If "Auto
arrange" is marked, click on that to unmark. Then things should stay in
place.

Thanks for the info.. But I have already done that and
they still move sometimes after I get out of a program.
This is driving me crazy!
