icons in status bar suddenly oversized

All of a sudden my start menu is all messed up: it forgot the toolbar
settings and the icons in the status box are bigger then they used to be.
Changing icon size does not help the status bar icons and my resolution
didn't change. I had some trouble with accesability tools, though. Not that
I use them, but a sticky windows key kept on calling the utility manager
every time I push "u."
Anybody have an idea.
BTW: my system has not been able to succesfully restore to an earlier date
either.

Hi,

This can happen by opening Accessibility Options, etc. If the icons on the
Quick Launch bar are showing as being larger, it will result in the taskbar
being twice its height and also include the date or similar under the clock.

If this is the case, right click the Desktop/Properties/Appearance/
Advanced. Under the Item drop box choose Caption Buttons and change the
number by one, ok your way out, then rest to 25.

And/or reset your default to the XP Theme.
