All the word icons are change so they look like how it would be if i didn't
have word
 
Thanks for trying to help, but that wasn't it. Whenever i open my computer
and go to any folder with a word document, instead of a word 2007 document
icon it shows a "Rich Text Format" icon.
 
Right-click on the filename of any .docx file, choose Open With, then
if necessary Browse to Word, choose it, and check the box that says to
always open this type of file with this application.
 
Did you try it? Reregistering Word should reestablish the file associations
for any version of Word.

Hey everyone, none of those were what I was talking about and Suzanne I did
register, but thanks for trying. And the problem went away so thanks for
trying to help
 
Note that "reregistering" Word is nothing to do with "registering" it.
"Reregistering" it reestablishes its file associations in the Windows
Registry.
