Icon jumps to other side of screen at every start up?

I have 4 icons on left side of screen. when I restart computer the
recycle bin icon is always on the right side of screen. I rearrange
it, right click and select save desktop icon layout to no avail.
this started about one week ago and do not know what else to try.

Hi Josh,

Hope the suggestion from Rey Santos helps.

I suppose you have the layout.dll shell extension installed. To restore the
desktop layout, right-click on the Desktop and choose "Restore Desktop Icon
Layout".

how do I get it to stay in position all the time after re starting?
