Icon issues

WinXP Pro w/ SP2...

After some routine cleaning of the HD this evening, had all Word
(v2003) icons switch to WordPad icons. Double-clicking on the file,
however, opens Word as one would expect. Any ideas what caused this and
how to repair it?

Start button
Click run
Type "control folders" without the quotes
Hit enter
Click on File Types tab
Highlight DOC files
Click Advanced
Click Change icon
In the Browse section:
"C:\WINDOWS\Installer\{90110409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9}\wordicon.exe"
(Might be a different set of numbers but you can search your PC for it if
you want)
Select the icon you want
Click Okay twice
