ICON IN FOLER VIEW

Nabil Bugaighis

Why do some page icons in folder view appear with the "e" (internet
explorer) icon instead of the frontpage icon. When I try to link to one of
those pages from another page, "http://....." displays in the (insert
Hyperlink address bar) and then it does not allow me to link.
Those pages used to function fine, but god knows what happened.
please help if you know what my problem is.
 
when I've seen the e icon instead of the FrontPage icon it's usually because
this:
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
<meta name="GENERATOR" content="Microsoft FrontPage 5.0">
<meta name="ProgId" content="FrontPage.Editor.Document">

or parts of it are missing from the page.
you may want to check for that. also you may want to click tools/
recalculate hyperlinks.

Thank you so much....... the metatags were missing. This solved the problem.
I wish I could get this kind of support when I pay for it.
