icon full screen

I am using PP 2003. I want to view slides I am working on (occasionally) in
"Full Screen" mode. There is an icon for that under Tools, Customize, View.
When I drag the "Full Screen" icon to a toolbar, it is non-functional
(grayed-out) Anyone know how to make this work?

Tom,
I was under the impression that full screen meant that when in edit mode
nothing is shown on the screen but your slide. No menu, taskbar, statusbar
will be shown on the screen. Don't see much use for it in Powerpoint, you
can use shift+f5 to view the current slide. In Word you can also find it in
the view menu, makes more sense there, just show as much text as possible
without any tools bothering you.
Or have I misunderstood you completely.
