Icon Disorder in Explorers Folder View

Daniel Bauer

Hi!

Since the installation of SP2 on my toshiba satellite 5100-501 I
permanently experience the following problem:
While working with Windows Explorer a sudden change in the Iconx Structure
of the Folder View appears. This happens with a short delay, sometimes
after 10 seconds, the other time after 5 minutes. But it obviously happens
always. (See a screenshot at http://www.danielbauer.com/problem.jpg ) It
must has something to do with an Autorefresh of the Folder View. Every now
and then the View slightly flickers, wich is as I assume a AutoRefresh.
Especially after a filetransfer this flickering appears and the change of
the Icons is more likely to happen after a filetransfer. Even the relation
between path and icon seems somehow disordered.
In the meantime I did a complete reinstall of XP and SP2 and the problem
immediately reappeared. So I assume it must have something to do with SP2.
Deactivation of Firewall and AV Software, Removing and Deinstallation of
each and every periphery didn't change anything.I know have the problem
for several month. Any help is apporeciated!

Thanks,
Daniel

ps.: TweakUI or restoring Icons didn't help as well
