I386 Folder

On my C drive, I have a folder called "I386" which is
taking up 643mb of disk space. What is this folder for,
and do I need it?

It's almost certainly a copy of the original i386 folder from the CD,
although it is far too big to be an exact copy. I wonder what else is in
it.

Normally, it's perfectly safe to delete it. Windows 2000 rarely asks for
the CD anyway, and you can always put the CD in if required. I don't know
why it's larger than normal, though. You need to check that out.
