I use the free versions of AVG av, spyware blaster, ad-aware, and spybot
search and destroy, and keep them updated, and run them at least once a week,
and sometimes more than that--so how did this darn worm creep into my
computer and how can I be sure to keep it from happening again? And can I be
sure it's really gone?

Do you surf in the Internet using a limited account? Do you use P2P programs (eMule,...)?

Another question, have you activated your firewall? If so, what of them do you use?

Yes, I use the free version of Zone Alarm, keep it activated and up to date.
Re: the P2P; it is the home computer which is encountering these problems.
