I am intereted in learning how to set up Window XP Pro remote/host function
on 2 computers in 2 different cities.
I will need to access the other persons cpu and submit fies, change files,
etc.
I need to view their hard drive essentially.
How would you reccomend setting this up the simplest way possible?

Thanks so much,

Remote Desktop for Administration in Server 2003 is the same as Remote
Desktop in XP Pro, except that XP Pro can only support a console session,
i.e. if you logon remotely, it locks the console of the remote desktop host
(you can't share the screen)

If the client needs to see what you're doing you can use Remote Assistance,
which is found at the same URL Listed above.

With that said if you just want secure access to the remote PC so you can
transfer files back and forth a VPN or Secure Shell (SSH) tunnel would work
well. If you go the SSH route then see these pages. Use a *strong password*
or a private/public key pair for authentication...
