I want XP Picture and Fax Viewer back in Vista

I would like to try and get back Windows XP 'Picture and Fax Viewer'. I did
like it very much during my use of XP Business. Now I have upgraded to Vista
Business I cannot locate it anywhere, or any other program that could compare
to it. Has anyone got any tips on how to get P&F Viewer back, Thanks.

Thanks for your reply, and whilst I already know about Photo Gallery, it
isn't what I'm looking for.
The XP Version of Picture & Fax Viewer had a good range of editing features,
Cut-n-Paste, Eraser, Freehand Tool, Annotations, etc.
I can't find anywhere in Vista, a program that can do that for the Faxes I
receive into my comp. Some of the faxes I receive sometimes need cleaning up
a bit, and XP P&F Viewer was brilliant for doing that. Thanks for your reply.

Hi Dev
Thanks for the link, I have tried it out in the past and wasn't impressed.
But I gave it the benefit of the doubt and gave it a Test Drive again just
now, and it crashed and burned (I mean it was not as good as P&F Viewer).
Thanks again.

Jay, I agree with you 100%.
The old XP Picture and fax vier was (is) much easier to use. Just open the
first picture in a folder and you could quickly scan through all the pictures
in that folder by using the Page down key...and you could easily zoom in by
using the + key.
Because of this and a few other irritating "features" of Vista, I will be
UPGRADING back to Windows XP tomorrow.

The "Upgrade" to Vista took me all of 5 hours today. What a waste of time!!!

My sentiments are with you totally Gearhead4, but company policy will not
allow me to back-step to XP, gaaarrrgh.!!! I have also lost a certain amount
of usage on my HP Multi-Function Printer which also allowed me to scan, copy
fax etc, I can't even edit my Address List in it any more. If I ever wanted
to lose this much functionality, I could have put a hammer thro the Hard
Drive.....

Couldn't agree more!!! I have only had Windows Vista for a couple of
months, so I am not through exploring all the possibilities. I have been
led to the conclusion, however, that Microsoft is playing to the "rip and
burn" generation. Functionality for the long time Windows has been
seriously degraded. Being a senior citizen and a long time windows
user(remember 3.1), I am most disappointed. If I could transition back to
XP without so much hassle, I would certainly do it. I could hookup any of
my cameras to XP and be in business. There is nothing that comes with Vista
that comes close to the same utility. It's just my opinion, but Photo
Gallery and Snap Fire both fit into the category of crap. If you follow the
forums on CNet, as well as MS Public, you will see there are many, many
users that do not cotton to Vista. The picture manipulation is just one of
my several frustrations. But look, we got Sidebar, whoopee!
