I have set up rules to move specific emails from my inboxes to folders, but
it seems as if the emails are simply being copied to the folders. I don't
want copies or duplicates, I want the email to move to the folder. Am I
missing a step in setting up my rules, or this just another stupid quirk of
Outlook?

I don't know about your version of Outlook but on Outlook 2000, you have the
option in the rules wizard to either move a copy of the email or "move it".
You might want to check to see if you can do the same.

Good luck.

I do have the option to 'move' mail versus 'move a copy', and I have my rules
set to move email. It still moves it and leaves it in the original inbox.

I saw another posting where someone was trying to do the same thing that I
am and they were told to add 'and stop processing more rules', but I don't
have that option. Does anyone know where or how I can try this solution and
if it works?
Thanks,
Cheyenne

I FOUND THE ANSWER IN ANOTHER POSTING!
Thanks to Brian Tillman for the suggestion to add 'stop processing more
rules' to my rules.
