Insert the CD, re-boot, and follow instructions. It will give you
choices and explanations for choices.

BraveHeart,

Just put the CD in, run Setup, and choose to upgrade to XP Professional.
Setup should take care of the rest for you.

You should, of course, make a backup of all of your important information
first, just in case anything should go wrong.

If the system is rinning OK with XP Home, it will be OK with the XP Pro
version. It really is as simple as inserting the installation CD and
selecting the upgrade option. As with any OS installation, make sure you
backup any important data before proceeding.

If you decide you have real need to one of the extras in Pro (don't do
it just to sound good - apart from the additions, the systems are
identical), then run the CD *from* the present home system; take
Install, continue with New Install,

See http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxp_home_pro.asp
for the list of things that are in Pro only. In addition Pro will
support ten simultaneous connections in a network - Home only five

If you have downloaded drivers for things like video cards from the
maker, have them handy, as the install may put you bak to an earlier
version if those were not formally 'certified'
