I want to enable auditing to see who accesses a certain file

Gurus,

Have 4 WinXP PCs in a workgroup. I want to enable auditing to see who
accesses a certain file on one of the PCs, both if they come in remotely
thru the file share and locally if they log onto PC itself. What are the
exact steps I need to do? This has all gotten so much more complicated
since NT.
