Off to the side someplace, enter 1 in a cell and 2 in the cell below it.
Copy the two cells.
In an empty column, select cells 1:2000 (the data rows).
Paste (column is filled with alternating sets of 1 and 2)
Sort using the paste column as the key - descending
Delete the top 1000 rows.
