I updated to Outlook 2003 and now every time I use it, the pop-up installer
tries to install something. I hear the A drive spinning when it does this.
How do I get the intstaller to NOT come on? It comes on repeatedly. The
program works otherwise.

Did you ever find a solution to your problem, because I have the same
problem and the more I try to fix it the more broke it gets.

I don't know if you ever got your problem resolved, but I uninstalled office
2003 along with outlook and reinstalled 2002 and at least outlook work now.

I forgot all about this:) I just found the notification in my junk box.
Keppy, no, I never figured out the problem. I found out that the same thing
happens when I do other things in Office 2003. I just wait for the installer
to spin its wheels and then it is fine. It's gets aggravating when I am in a
hurry, but, oh well. Any help out there?

I haven't found any yet, but I'm glad at least your outlook opens, mine
never did. After the installer window I got an error that it couldn't find
the install server, even if I had the CD in the drive.
I finally uninstalled, which deleted my pst file and when I was still having
problems I did a system restore. I'm still having problems trying to access
some windows features, like add remove windows components. But at least I
have outlook and office 2002 back and they do work.
I wish I could help you with your problem. I even tried searching the
internet using the keywords in search engines. I see lots of problems with
outlook 2003 and no real answers.

Thanks for trying to help, Keppy. I hope you can figure out your Office
problems. At least I can use the programs. I just have to put up with the
installer trying to install phantom components. :) I am going to look around
a little to try to found out some things...
