I type 2 August I want 2 and August on same line

I want to keep the 2 and August on the same line. How do i instruct the
formatting not to split them at the end of the line?
 
Use a hard (non-breaking space): Hold down Control and Shift and press the
space bar. You may see a queer little symbol where you inserted the hard
space.
