i am trying to install i tunes on my computer but it wont let me i keep
getting the following message (the windows installer service could not be
accessed this can occur if you are running windows in safe mode or windows
installer is not correctly installed) i am pretty new to coputers and dont
know what to do about it

No, the message is not too clear.

"Safe mode" is a deliberate and explicit choice that you'd make at start-up
for troubleshooting.

So I consider the other case more likely: that the Windows Installer itself
isn't correctly installed. But this message could be ambivalent. Either it
would suggest that the Installer Service of Windows has stopped working
properly, or that the file that you obtained iTunes in could be corrupt.
You could redownload iTunes, and see if the newer file does install.

Otherwise, ask assistance from somebody who has some experience using
computers and whose logical reasoning you trust.

No need to panic, but obviously you want iTunes installed. :) « smiley,
turn sideways

Update your Windows Installer via Windows Update.
