I tried to upgrade from win98 to win2000 professional.but it did not auto sense

Hi, Itried to upgrade win98 to win 2000 prof, but the
computer did not autosense the CD professional when I put
it in the cd drive,talkless of booting from it. Kindly
bail me out because my computer is an Intel pentium 11
with 90mgbit of memory: in addittion, it has 7gigabit of
free space of hard drive. Thanks

Try clicking going to start then to run. Click on run.
Click on browse. Find your CD drive. Click on it. Then
click on Setup.exe.

To enable auto start please follow these steps

Click on Start -> Run -> Type
gpedit.msc
and press enter

Click on User Configuration -> Adminstrative Templates ->
System
Double click on - Disable Autoplay
Click on Disable press OK button.

This should enable the autoplay of CD-ROM.

To boot from the CD you need to change the BIOS settings -
1st Boot Device - CD-ROM
2nd Boot Device - Floppy disk
3rd Boot Device - Hard Disk (IDE)
