Good day...

I have a desktop and a laptop connected by a crossover cable... it was
working but stopped afterwards...

I received the following message:

\\**** is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network
resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have
access permissions.

The network location cannot be reached. For information about network
troubleshooting, see Windows Help.

I did not change the IP address for both computers...

BUT, in my laptop I see the "1394 Connection" and the "1394 Net Adapter"
where it doest not appear in my desktop...

What do you think gentleman?

Best regards

We have some issues with this configuration.

1. We should not have two default gateway. In this case, the LAN should not
have Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1 pointing to itself.

2. We should not point the DNS to a workstation. If you don't have an
internal DNS, you may want to use ISP DNS.

Dear Robert:

I tried the default ones:
192.168.0.1
192.168.0.2

The icon on the right corner on both computers show LAN is connected... and
when I turn off one of the computers the icon shows that LAN cable is
unplugged!?
