HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

What makes you think you can spell it correctly if given a
second chance?

Hi, I just tried that as when I reinstalled my XP I only typed in my
Christian name instead of my full name. I have followed the instructions
and then rebooted but when I go to System - General Tab it still says
Registered to Lynn. It hasn't altered.

Well if you don't know or can't correct it, just write it on a piece
of paper and use it all the time. No big deal. Then take a course in
spelling! Your own name, you mis-spelled. No more comments are needed! :-(

Hello Lynn,

Maybe you had problems because you put in your Christian name rather than
your Hindu name (bad joke, I know).

In any case, go to Kelly's Korner at
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

On line 7, right-hand side, download the little VB script from the Change
Registered Owner and Organization link.

This script works. I just changed my name and organization a few times and
then back to my original settings -- none of which, of course, are my real
name or organization anyway. :>

Perhaps he just mistyped it :)
